Daniel Robinson Cup

On Sunday 25th July, Sawbridgeorth B .C. retained the Daniel Robinson Cup at the tri-club match hosted by the Havers Park Club at Bishop's Stortford The three clubs involved on this yearly event were Bishop's Stortford B.C.,. Havers Park B.C. and Sawbridgeworth B.C. The four sections of the day were singles and pairs in the morning and following lunch provided by the home club, the triples and fours were played. All games were very close but the final results were Sawbridgeworth 12 points, Bishop's Stortford B.C.and Havers Park B.C. 6 points each.
Ben Benson of Daniel Robinson & Sons presented the Cup and, a donation cheque, for the club funds, to Jackie Jones, who took over the Captain's role for the completion of the match

	Under 25's County Final at Hatfield B.C.
	On Thursday 22nd July, Scott Lepley of Sawbridgeworth B. C., narrowly missed out on a place at Worthing (2010) when after a great display of bowling, by both players, he lost 21 to 18 shots to Tom Muir of Harpenden B.C. Well done Scott for getting to the County Final

The Daniel Robinson Cup


	Cup Presentation to the Sawbridgeworth B.C.'s Captain Brian Bird by Seamus Setterfield of Daniel Robinson & Sons

The Daniel Robinson Cup Match was contested on Sunday 19th July 2009 at the Sawbridgeworth Bowling Club. The Match, sponsored by Daniel Robinson & Sons, is played between Havers Park, Bishop's Stortford & Sawbridgeworth Bowling Clubs. Each Club takes it in turn to host the event on a yearly basis and provides two teams to play a singles, pairs, triples & fours match against the other two clubs. The single and the pairs were contested in the morning session with the triples and four being played in the afternoon. All players and officials were entertained together to lunch. The result was that the Sawbridgeworth Bowling Club regained the Cup and won the donation cheque from the sponsor. The results were: Sawbridgeworth B.C.14 points, Bishop's Stortford B.C. 8 points and Havers Park B.C. 2 points. The standard of bowling was high and spectators and players alike all enjoyed the day's bowling.
